History: the present owner bought Scarlet in Martinique in the Caribbean in 2010 and sailed it across the Atlantic and the length of the Mediterranean. Scarlet has been featured in articles in “Cruising World” and “Voyages” magazines. Scarlet" is a sistership to Rod Heikell's well-known "Skylax" which appears in Heikell's many cruising guides including the "Turkish Waters Pilot" and "Greek Waters Pilot

LAYOUT DESCRIPTION 

• -  2 staterooms, wide berth 
• -  2 toilets, WC and shower 
• -  1 Chart table 
• -  1 saloon with a fixed wooden table, 
• -  1 Galley. 

Frige : 1 large compartment feeded through a FRIGOBOAT system : - 1 eutectic S/S plate cooled by a compressor belted to the engine. Both operating well. 

Toilets : good aspect ; operational ; WC manual pumps are Jabsco. 

Tankage: Fuel 60 gallons, water 130 gallons in two tanks, wastewater 15 gallons 

ELECTRIC SYSTEM 

12 volts circuit

-Batteries: 2 heavy duty 12 volt, 1 emergency-start 12 volt, battery monitor Bilge pumps: 1 electric, 1 heavy duty electric, one manual cockpit pump 

-Lofrans electric anchor windlass.

NAVIGATION INSTRUMENTS : 

1 cockpit Main compas . Lack of fluid – to be refilled.

It also needs an adjustment, being more or less 20 ° out.

1 AUTOHELM bidata deph sounder / loch / speedo Depth is hardly readable on the cockpit . Screen or diodes to be changed.

1 Windmeter speed & angle.

ACCOMODATION 

1.Forward cabin: V berth forward, head and shower, hanging lockers, and drawers. 

2.Main cabin: two berths, drawers under berths, hanging locker, three cabinets on each side. Head with toilet, hot and cold shower, drawers. 

*Galley: three-burner propane stove with oven, dual electric refrigerators, hot and cold electric water pump and hand pump fresh water, large dish locker, large pot locker, waste container. 

SAILS 

1. full batten North Sails mainsail very good

2. Roller furling North Sails forestaysail very good

3. R/f 110% jib good, spinnaker good

4. 1 spinaker tri radial – seen in its bag. Canvas in good apparent condition. 

RIGGING

Winches BARIENT are self tailing, 2 speed. 2 x 36 / 3 x 28 / 1 x 28+ / 1 x 17 

On the mast : 1 Lewmar 44 / 1 Barient 24 / 1 Barient for reefing. All operational but in need of lubrication. 

Mast & boom KENYON , painted aluminium. Good aspect.

Standing rigging : 2 stages of spreaders, good aspect. 

COVERS:

Canvas: All canvas new 2022 very good: dodgers, bimini, main sail cover, winch covers 

SAFETY / GROUND TACKLE 

-Fire extinguishers : 2 x 2 kg dry cheminal. Valid.

-Life vests & Harnesses : 6

-1 horse shoe ring & Seago buoy. 

-Anchor windlass is a 12 Volts

-Working intermittently – to be checked.

-50 Pound plow anchor, 44 pound Fortress anchor

- spare anchor is a Fortress aluminium with a small chain + line in good condition.

- Dock lines : different size , in fairly good condition.

- fenders : 6 in good condition. 

ANCILLARY / COMFORT EQUIPMENT 

1 stainless steel Bimini ; canvas in correct condition 1 wide dodger over the aft compagnionway. 1 small dodger over the central access.

1 main sail cover & lazy jacks. 

1 Transom ladder, s/steel, useless as blocked but the wind regulator.

1 wind regulator stainless steel, fixed on the transom. Not tested. Apparently in good condition. 

1 set of cockpit cushions

SAFETY & ANCHORING

50 pound plow anchor on chain. 40 pound Fortress anchor on chain and rope.
